XIV Source Studies Conference "The Emblem in Culture" (to the 100th Anniversary of the Independence of Poland)

On October 25-26, 2018, XIV Source Studies Conference "The Emblem in Culture" (to the 100th Anniversary of the Independence of Poland) was held in Kazimierz-Dolny (Poland). The symposium was co-organized by the Institute of History of Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin, the Polish Heraldry Society, the Institute of National Remembrance (Poland), as well as the Department of Historiography, Source Studies, and Archeology of V.N.Karazin Kharkiv National University.
The lecturers of The Historical School of V.N.KarazinKharkiv National University took part in the conference: the Head of Department of Historiography, Source Studies, and Archeology, Professor S.I.Posokhov; Associate Professor of the same Department Ye.S.Rachkov; Associate Professor of the Department of History of Ukraine R.G.Lyubavsky. Professor S.I.Posokhov presented a report on "Kharkiv territorial heraldry: traditions and innovations". In the framework of the report, he also told the audience about the purpose and objectives of the international scientific project "Self-representation of multinational cities in the industrial and post-industrial period" organized by the lecturers of The Historical School. Ye.S.Rachkov spoke about the problems of the genesis of the symbolic space of Ukrainian universities. The report by R.G.Lyubavsky was devoted to the study of the symbols and emblems of enterprises and workers' organizations in the USSR in the 1920's and 1930's.
