On April 17, 2026, Yevhen Serhiiovych Rachkov, Associate Professor in the Department of Historiography, Heritage Studies, and Archaeology, participated in the VI All-Ukrainian Scholarly Conference “Research, Preservation, and Promotion of Ukraine’s Historical and Cultural Heritage,” organized by the National Historical and Ethnographic Reserve “Pereiaslav.”

As part of the conference, he delivered a paper titled “Online Database ‘Digital Heritage in Ukraine’: Design Features and Use Cases.” The database presented is part of the research project “DIGITAL HERITAGE in Ukraine: Documenting Digital Projects,” launched in 2024 by the CityFace Research Initiative with support from the Canadian Institute of Ukrainian Studies at the University of Alberta. The project aims to examine the current state of digital heritage in Ukraine and to identify the main achievements and challenges in its development from the 1990s to the 2020s. The presentation outlined the key principles behind the design of the database and highlighted its potential as a tool for researching and promoting digital heritage in Ukraine.

Work on expanding the database is ongoing, and the official launch of the web resource is expected in the near future.
