The Department collaborates closely with museums and archival institutions, which gives us many opportunities for interesting research and popular-history projects. On the initiative of the Department’s faculty, since 1999 the University annually observes the professional holiday of archival workers. This day is traditionally marked by thematic exhibitions of archival materials (usually taking place at the Museum of History of Kharkiv University) and roundtables on problems in archival studies, with the participation of specialists from the V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University Archive, State Archive of Kharkiv Oblast, and Central State Archive of Science and Technology of Ukraine (Kharkiv).
