On March 26, 2026, the Faculty of History at V.N.Karazin Kharkiv National University hosted the All-Ukrainian academic conference “17th Luniov Readings” in an online format (via the Zoom platform). The conference was devoted to the theme “Interdisciplinarity in Museum Studies.”
The participants were welcomed by the Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs of the Faculty of History, Candidate of Historical Sciences (PhD), Associate Professor Yevhen Zakharchenko, and the Chair of the Organizing Committee, Head of the Department of Historiography, Heritage Studies, and Archaeology, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Sergiy Posokhov. Professor Posokhov also presented a new publication to the audience: Unity of the Dissimilar: The “Burime” Artistic Association: Interviews and Bibliography, compiled by O. H. Pavlova, N. I. Polianska, and S. I. Posokhov; edited by S. I. Posokhov (Kharkiv: Maidan, 2026. 114 p., ill.).
At the plenary session, the memory of the Kharkiv artist Nina Verbuk - founder of the A.F.Luniov Prize - was honored. This year’s prize was also presented: the artwork “Easter Motifs,” donated to the prize fund by Nina Verbuk’s husband, Candidate of Technical Sciences (PhD), Associate Professor Anatolii Lytvynenko.
The conference featured three thematic panels. Participants delivered papers on current issues in contemporary museum studies, as well as on the implementation of interdisciplinary approaches, digital technologies, and interactive methods in museum practice. Speakers shared the experiences of various museum institutions in addressing these issues, including collaboration with relevant foundations and organizations.
At the closing plenary session, the results of the conference were summarized and the laureate of the “17th Luniov Readings” Prize was announced. This year, the prize was awarded to Maryna Usyk, Librarian of the First Category at the T.G.Shevchenko “Ukrainica” Department of the V.H.Korolenko Kharkiv State Scientific Library.
