On April 2–3, 2026, Associate Professor of the Department of Historiography, Heritage Studies, and Archaeology Yevhen Rachkov took part in the conference “Artes Digitales: Digital Humanities Forum,” held at the Ukrainian Catholic University.
During the conference, he presented a paper titled “Digital Heritage in Ukraine Today: Infrastructure as an Essential Component of the Sustainable Development of the Field.” The presentation addressed the current state of digital heritage development in Ukraine, outlining key achievements and challenges in the field. Particular attention was given to the need for a robust digital infrastructure as a critical prerequisite for ensuring the effective protection and long-term sustainability of Ukraine’s cultural heritage.
The conference served as an innovative platform for discussing current trends in digital humanities and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration. A notable event of the forum was the inauguration of the UCU Center for Digital Humanities.
