On 11 November 2025, as part of the course “Historical Geography and Local History” (lecturer – PhD in History Yevhen Rachkov), first-year students of the School of History attended the lecture “Contemporary Methods in Historical Geography and the Study of Sloboda Ukraine in the Early Modern Period.” The lecture was delivered by Yuliia Koniva, PhD in Philosophy, historian, and associate member of the GRHis research laboratory (Research Group in History) at the University of Rouen (France), and a graduate of the School of History at Karazin University.
During the lecture, students were introduced to the theoretical foundations and contemporary approaches in historical geography, as well as to research on the communication routes of Sloboda Ukraine in the 18th and early 19th centuries.
We sincerely thank Yuliia for a substantive and inspiring lecture, and the students for their active participation and insightful questions. We wish the lecturer continued scientific discoveries and academic achievements!
