​Cultural and Artistic Project Presentation United Theory and Practice of Historical Source Studies

On October 17, 2025, a presentation of the cultural and artistic project “Multimedia Exhibition 'A Place of Resistance: Infrastructure Projects of the Azovstal Metallurgical Plant” took place during a class on the discipline “Fundamentals of Source Studies” (Lecturer Olha Vovk). The project is implemented by the Central State Scientific and Technical Archives of Ukraine with the support of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation.

The presentation was conducted by Anastasiia Shapovalova, the lead archivist of the Document Information Use Department at the CSSTA of Ukraine, and a graduate of the Department of Historiography, Source Studies, and Archaeology. She provided a detailed account of the informational and social significance of the project, the specifics of collecting and publishing unique source materials, demonstrated the relevant web resources, and answered questions from the audience.

The meeting concluded with a discussion of the types of historical sources presented on the project's website. This combination of theoretical knowledge with the realities of modern archival work and work on projects concerning relevant pages of Ukrainian history enabled students to deepen their understanding of source study methods and their practical application.
