The final stage of the Regional Youth Competition “Let's Discover Kharkiv Region” have taken place
On September 18–19, 2024, the 3rd (final) stage of the Regional Youth Competition “Let's Discover Kharkiv Region” for the best virtual excursion have taken place. The lecturer of the Department of Historiography, Source Studies and Archeology Olha Vovk worked as part of the competition jury.
The event is organized by the joint efforts of the Kharkiv Organizational and Methodological Centre of Tourism, the Kharkiv Regional Youth Centre and universities of Kharkiv region that are participated in the Interuniversity Association “Tourism Development Platform”. It takes place with the support of the Department of Culture and Tourism, the Department of Youth and Sports of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration.
The competition is being held for the fourth time. This year, 22 virtual projects were submitted for consideration by the jury members, of which 9 got to the final. The finalists were high school pupils, students and young professionals who presented Kharkiv, Blyznyuky, Bogoduhiv, Izyum, Lozova, and Chuhuyiv. Participation in the competition stimulated their investigation in local history, encouraged them to learn something new about their native land and share this knowledge in the form of an excursion.
Summarizing the results and announcing the winners of the competition will take place within the framework of the celebration of the International Day of Tourism and the Day of Tourism in Ukraine.
