From 1 to 21 July 2025, a group of first-year students from the School of History of V.N.Karazin Kharkiv National University is undertaking an archaeological training placement hosted by Uzhhorod National University. The supervisor of this fieldwork is Associate Professor V.V.Skyrda.
During the placement, the students are participating in archaeological excavations on the grounds of Uzhhorod Castle. The excavations are being carried out on the site of the ruins of an ancient church and aim to deepen knowledge about the history of this unique monument.
The fieldwork is conducted jointly with students of the Faculty of History of Uzhhorod National University. This collaboration promotes the exchange of experience and helps to enhance the professional skills of future historians and archaeologists.
