​Academic Awards in Honor of Historians Yu.Zhuravskyi and B.Myhal

On 24 April 2026, the 79th International Conference of Young Scholars "Karazin Readings" took place. The event was dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Student Scientific Society at Kharkiv University. The conference was organized by the Faculty of History and the Student Scientific Society of students, postgraduate students, doctoral candidates, and young scholars of V.N.Karazin Kharkiv National University.

During the plenary session, the Head of the Department of Historiography, Heritage Studies, and Archaeology, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Sergiy Posokhov presented academic awards established in honor of the historians Yu.Zhuravskyi and B.Myhal. These awards are granted for the best presentations in historiography and the history of Ukraine delivered within the framework of the "Karazin Readings".

According to the results of the conference, the Yu.Zhuravskyi Award was granted to Mariia Dotsenko, a PhD student of the Department of Historiography, Heritage Studies, and Archaeology, for her presentation "Participation of Ukrainian Scholars in the International Congresses of Historical Sciences (1900–1995)" (academic supervisor – Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor S.Posokhov).

In turn, the B.Myhal Award was granted to Nataliia Shepitak, a student of the Department of History of Ukraine and Methods of Teaching History at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, for her presentation "The Almanac 'Yevshan-zillia' (1987–1990) in the Publishing Legacy of Iryna and Ihor Kalynets" (academic supervisor – Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor B.Paska).
