On June 5–6, 2025, Yevhen Rachkov, Associate Professor in the Department of Historiography, Source Studies, and Archaeology, participated in the 10th International Conference "Faces of War – War and Memory," organized by the Institute of History at the University of Łódź (Poland).
The conference brought together scholars engaged in a broad spectrum of research on the interconnections between war, collective memory, and identity.
As part of the conference, Yevhen Rachkov delivered a presentation titled “Challenges to the Preservation of Ukraine’s Cultural Heritage During the Russo-Ukrainian War: Expert Reflections.” His presentation focused on preliminary outcomes from the "CITY AND WAR" project, particularly on the analysis of expert interviews that investigate the processes of destruction, preservation, and rethinking of Ukraine’s cultural heritage during ongoing Russian aggression.
