​Participation in the International Kroneberg readings

On October 10, 2024, the 3rd International Kroneberg Readings “Antiquity – Classics – Modernity” took place at the Faculty of Philology of V. N. Karazin KhNU. The conference was dedicated to the memory of the outstanding classical philologist, rector of Kharkiv University Johann Christian (Ivan Yakovych) Kroneberg (1788–1838).

At the invitation of the organizing committee of the conference, teacher of the Department of Historiography, Source Studies, and Archaeology Olha Vovk took part in the event.

The pro-rectors of V. N. Karazin KhNU: Anton Panteleimonov (head of the organizing committee) and Oleksandr Holovko, as well as the dean of the Faculty of Philology, Yevheniia Chekareva greeted the participants of the conference. Olha Vovk presented a plenary report “I. Ya. Kroneberg and his era in the history of Kharkiv University”.

This year’s Kroneberg readings brought together more than 50 participants from Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia, Lviv, Poltava, Cherkasy, Chernivtsi and other cities of Ukraine, as well as from the USA.
