On May 28, 2024, a regular meeting of the Art History Club took place. Participants, including students and graduates of the Faculty of History, became acquainted with the work of painter and muralist Oleksandr Ihorovych Grechanovsky, a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine.
The artist shared intriguing aspects of his creative student life and presented works from various periods, ranging from student sketches to contemporary monumental murals and easel paintings.
During his talk, the artist provided insights into his creative process: organizing his creative space, preparing his workspace, and selecting artistic and proprietary techniques to realize artistic visions. Students were impressed by the artist's wide creative range, including portraits, landscapes, still lifes, murals, as well as graphic and sculptural works. Plein air and nature paintings also sparked considerable interest.
We wish Oleksandr Ihorovych continued creative inspiration, new achievements, and engaging encounters.
