Curatorial Hour: Workshop on "How to Prepare for a Student Scientific Conference"

On February 23, 2024, at the initiative of the students of the IS-21 group, a curatorial hour was held on the topic "How to Prepare for a Student Scientific Conference" (curator - Associate Professor of the Department of Historiography, Source Studies, and Archaeology, O.H.Pavlova).

The participation in the curatorial hour included a graduate of the Department of Historiography, Source Studies, and Archaeology from 2022, Seraphima Keis (during her student years, she was an active participant in scientific conferences, and her presentations were repeatedly awarded certificates and prizes), and a second-year student, Olena Tykhonova (this academic year, she successfully debuted at the Local History Conference, during which her presentation was awarded a certificate).

The event took place in the format of a workshop. S.Keis thoroughly acquainted the audience with the secrets of preparing theses and scientific presentations, sharing her own experience of participating in scientific conferences. In turn, O.Tykhonova delivered a presentation as an example of a scientific presentation during a conference. After the presentations, a lively discussion took place. Students were particularly interested in how and by whom questions are asked during the conference, the prevailing atmosphere, and so on.

We express sincere gratitude to S.Keis and O.Tykhonova for their participation in the curatorial hour!
