On June 22, 2023, the Tour Guide School concluded its activities for the spring semester through the collaborative efforts of the Department of Historiography, Source Studies, and Archaeology, along with the Academician P. T. Tronko Center for Ukrainian Studies and Local History. The project was overseen by PhD O. I. Vovk and Associate Professor O. G. Pavlova, with Professor S. M. Kudelko providing scientific consultation.
Throughout the semester, second-year students from the School of History had the opportunity to attend a series of lectures delivered by prominent experts from the Kharkiv region and other regions of Ukraine. They also dedicated their efforts to developing their own tour routes. At the final meeting, a total of six projects were presented, with the authors showcasing a creative approach and a high level of mastery in the knowledge and skills required for the tour industry.
Of particular note is the work of Olena Omelych, a student from the Department of Historiography, Source Studies, and Archaeology, who had already tested the results of her project by conducting a tour of the Dresden Art Gallery for primary school children prior to the defense. It is also worth highlighting that, as a result of their participation in the School, some students received job offers from specialized organizations in Kharkiv.
All authors of the approved projects will receive certificates signifying their completion of the School.
We extend our best wishes to all our students for their success and continued achievements!
