From May 14 to 18, 2017, students and young scientists of the Faculty of History of the Kharkiv National University named after VN Karazin took part in the Program archival study, organized by the Institute of History of the Marie Curie-Sklodowska University in Lublin.
Under the guidance of Professor Lyudmila Yurievna Posokhova and the head of the Department of Historiography, Source Studies and Archeology, Professor Sergei Ivanovich Posokhov, a group of 4 to 5 year students had an opportunity to get acquainted with the peculiarities of the organization and functioning of archival institutions and assess the main technological and scientific achievements of the archival industry in Poland.
During the detour students and scientists of the faculty visited the state archives in Krakow, Kielce and Sandomierz. The participants of the detour got an opportunity to learn about the peculiarities of the archiving files and the preservation of documents using modern technologies. Archivists showed rare sources on the history of Poland and the Ukrainian lands, showed the possibilities of preservation and restoration of documents.
Students and young scientists also took part in the International Scientific Seminar on "Problems of Modern Archival Studies and Document Management" held May 19, 2018 on the basis of the Institute of History of the Maria Curie-Sklodowska University in Lublin, the State Archive and the Institute of National Remembrance in Lublin (Program of the seminar).
