On September 22, a group of Faculty of History students, members of the academic club of art history and historiography, source studies, and special historical disciplines, visited Kruchyk, the village where the founder of Kharkiv University Vasyl Nazarovych Karazin was born and spent his life. Vice-director of the Academician P. T. Tronko Center for Local Studies Olha Ihorevna Vovk, who studies Karazin`s life and social environment, led a tour of the village. Thanks to the warm reception by the administration of the Kruchyk Secondary School, the students had an opportunity to visit the school museum, housing an exhibit on the Karazin family history, and view the memorial sites honoring the founder of Kharkiv University. Each participant in the trip received "Karazin’s Thoughts for Descendants to Remember," carefully prepared by O. I. Vovk.
