The museum-archival practice is over

From 25.06 to 15.07.2021 2nd year students of the Department of Historiography, Source Studies and Archeology under the guidance of Assoc. Olga Pavlova underwent museum-archival training practice in the distance mode. Nevertheless, the students were able to work fruitfully with theoretical material and acquire practical skills for three weeks, performing individual tasks.

The nature of the tasks gave students the opportunity to get acquainted with the basic principles of organization of museums and archival institutions of Ukraine, features of scientific and fund work on the experience of museums in Kharkiv, the State Archival Service of Kharkiv region.

In addition, each trainee mastered the rules of compiling the passport of the museum object and the text of the tour, the rules of archeographic work, as well as at their own choice, according to their own interests, visited the museum and got acquainted with the exhibition and other activities of the museum.

The internship allowed students not only to consolidate and improve their knowledge of museum studies and archival studies, but also to expand their understanding of the profession of museum and archival worker and employment opportunities for graduates of the Faculty of History.
